3. Requires Additional Anti-Corrosion Treatment    

   Cold-rolled steel sheets lack inherent rust resistance. In humid or corrosive environments, additional treatments like painting, electroplating, or phosphating are necessary to prevent rust.  

 

III. Galvanized Steel Sheet vs. Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet: Selection Recommendations    

 

1. Based on Usage Environment    

   Outdoor/humid environments → Prioritize galvanized steel sheets (better rust resistance).  

   Indoor/dry environments  Cold-rolled steel sheets (lower cost, better surface quality).  

 

2. Based on Processing Needs    

   Painting, precision stamping→ Prioritize cold-rolled steel sheets (smoother surface).  

   Welding, simple forming→ Galvanized steel sheets can also be used, but zinc vaporization during welding must be considered.  

 

3. Cost and Long-Term Maintenance    

   Galvanized steel sheets have higher initial costs but lower maintenance expenses, making them suitable for long-term use.  

   Cold-rolled steel sheets have lower initial costs but may require additional anti-corrosion treatments, increasing long-term expenses.
